One of the co-founders and directors of ASH Integrated Services is “optimistic” ahead of 2022, with the company’s investment in renewable energy leading to growth and job creation.
Antony Grace spoke as a panel member at the North West Business Insider Power of Predictability Roundtable, joining business leaders from across the region to discuss how seeking growth in 2022 will pose new challenges to businesses.
They also explored how the key to survival will be an emphasis on adaptation, predictability and accessibility.
Renewable-related services have become a key offering for ASH as organisations aim to reduce carbon footprints and become carbon neutral.
Recent projects for the Greater Manchester-based mechanical and electrical contractor include the installation and maintenance of car charging points and PV panels as well as underfloor heating and air source heat pumps.
Antony said: “We’re optimistic. We got into renewables at an early stage, and we’ve invested a lot of money into training and accreditations to ensure our team are at the forefront of the industry.
“It’s proving incredibly beneficial for our clients to have solutions put forward by us that not only solve the operational challenge, but take wider points such as climate change into consideration.”
Antony added: “Before covid, we started to look at government contracts and projects and stepped away from anything that was developer funded which carried an element of risk.
“We’re doing well off the back of those government funded projects and we’re being invited by more councils to tender for more projects.
“One of our clients is a council, and what it likes about us is that we do it directly. They’ve all got our mobile numbers and if they want to talk to us, they can. They like the comfort of knowing a decision can be made right away.”
